If you think about it, fame is kind of a strange phenomenon. Lots of people know about you for something you did. That something could be amazing, praiseworthy, embarrassing, deplorable, entertaining, or any other adjective you can think of. (The Darwin Awards, anyone?)
Personally, I think everyone has at least one odd thing that makes them "famous," if only to their friends. For example, when I was teaching sixth-grade history, the school didn't have a cafeteria, so the students ate lunch in their homerooms. I don't remember exactly why (maybe to help keep the noise level down), but I started playing Studio C sketches for the kids during lunch. Most of them loved it, and one of my students even got the cast to give me a shout-out in the comments of one of their videos. Unfortunately, I can't remember which one! Should've bookmarked it. Oh well.
